Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts
The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a range of special visitors.
In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
Murs' new album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football side," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' only on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I will choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games.
A family member told me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
They have got lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
Their performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.
However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
