Devoted fans of the pop star are demanding that a man who breached a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.
