In a bizarre crossover event that defies usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
